upSUMMARY

George Clifford was glad to learn that Linnaeus intends to remain in Leiden for a while longer and hopes to see him at his house. In this letter he encloses two letters and a package, which arrived for Linnaeus after his departure, as well as two pieces of gold found in his room in Amsterdam. Clifford has given the index of Hortus Cliffortianus to the printer and has asked Johan Frederik Gronovius to check the corrections. A copy will be sent to Herman Boerhaave and Adriaan van Royen, as soon as the index has been printed.
