upSUMMARY

Adriaan van Royen says that the enclosed list or “index” will explain why he has not answered Linnaeus’s letter earlier. He will gladly accept the commission offered to him. He hopes to see Linnaeus shortly, either at Hartekamp or in George Clifford’s house. Royen intends to spend a few days in Amsterdam or at Hartecamp, where he would like to occupy himself with developing the botanical garden.

The rest Linnaeus will know, when they meet.
