upSUMMARY

Linnaeus thanks Carl Fredrik Mennander for the letter he received. He has received Hortus Cliffortianus, and will see to it that Mennander gets it. Linnaeus has had no time for collecting minerals and plants or preparing them for preservation. He asks Mennander to greet all his old friends. Linnaeus himself is going to marry on 26 June. He has just been appointed physician to the Admiralty. As he is allowed to keep the yearly fee from his lecturing, his yearly income has increased to 2,700 daler. On 26 May he starts lecturing in botany at the House of the Nobility.
