Dated . Sent from () to (). Written in Latin.

Vir Doctissime,

Quum ultimas meas ad Te mississem literas, in quibus significaveram opus vestrum plane absolutum, Typographus ilico exemplaria colligere incepit. Verum is proh dolor folia quaedam mire defoedata reperit, et non in pristinum statum restituenda, nisi Auctor libri ipse adsit. Typographus patitur inde damnum gravissimum. Hinc heri amplissime ad Dom[inum] Cliffortium hanc historiam per literas perscripsi, ac simul desideravi, ut Tibi permitteret per 12 dies ad me venire et librum vestrum in sanitatem restituere. Hisce vale, non dubitans, quin brevi literas a Cliffortio sis habiturus. Verum ne vestes Laponicas obliviscaris precor. Iterum vale!
