För H[err] Professorns gunstiga och angenäma, hade jag den äran at aflägga min skyldiga tacksäijelse i et bref härifrån under Herr Baron Höpkens Couvert. Jag twiflar eij, at thet ju richtigt framkommit. Härinne lycht sänder jag Herr Professorn nu wår Rectoris Magnifici bref; The begärta fröen, får jag nästk[ommande] fredag, tå jag promt sänder dem til Amsterdam Herrar Grillarna tilhanda, med begiäran at The låta dem följa med första fartyg til Stockholm, och Theras Broder, hwarest Herr Professorn them kan efterfråga låta. framdeles får jag ock en kista med alleh[anda] stirpes, såsom han lofwade, then jag på samma sätt will öfwerstÿra, och bedja H[errar] Grillarna at the draga försorg om någon af Skieppsfolket, som emot skiälig wedergällning, wattnar dem.

H[err] Professor Royen giör mig mångfaldig grace thermed at jag intet allenast har fritt at gå i Academieträgården, när mig behagar, utan ock i Hÿbernaculis bese hwad mig hälst lÿster. Om han wet, at thermed Herr Professorn, såsom min gynnare, nöije skier, så tror han sin benägenhet intet wara illa anwänd.

D[octor] van Switens Commentariot in Aphorismos Boerhaavii Pars la är nu utkommen; kostar 6. ½ fl[oriner] Holl[endska] Man wäntar än 2 delar. Eustachii Fabulae edente B. S. Albino äro ock färdige och utgifwas, så snart Praefation blif[we]r tryckt.

För öfrigit mår jag här i Leijden rätt väl, och har mit stora nöje på alt sätt, I synnerhet uti Collegiis Anatomicis och Chemicis.

Jag beder Herr Professorn anmäla min ödmiuka respect til alla mina Gÿnnare, H[err] Doctorn, och Professorn Celsii, H[err] Professor Beronius, i sÿnnerhet. Jag framhärdar med wördnad

Enclosed in this letter, he sends a letter from the vice chancellor of Leyden University [this letter has not come down to us]. The seeds that Linnaeus had asked for will be delivered to Bäck next Friday, and he will send them to the merchant brothers Grill in Amsterdam [Anthoni GrillGrill, Anthoni (1705-1783).

has permitted Bäck to walk freely in the university garden, and the greenhouses, to look at whatever he wants. Bäck is sure that Royen would be happy to know that Linnaeus is pleased by this favour shown to Bäck.
