Edle och Höglärde H[err] Doctor,
gamble och förtrogne wän.

Nu är et helt åhr sedan jag skref senast; har och ej sedan haft något bref af H[err] Doctoren; men kan ej underlåta at åter oroa en god wän.

Lund är ännu ej bortgifwit. Rothman, Leche och unge Rosen stå på förslaget. Doct[or] Lundberg är död, och äfw[e]n Koulas, stadsphysicus i malmö.

Hur snart få wij wänta Eder hem till oss. jag begynner längta at få råka Eder. Hoppas då få se månge inlagde örter.

Kiäre H[err] Doctor, war så from gå till H[err] Professor Bernh[ard] jussieu, laga at han skänker oss några frön till wår trägård, och skicka dem öfwer med posten at wij få dem senast till d: 1 april. jag wäntar något af H[err] Doctoren till wår trägård, som skall wisa sig på alt sätt tacksam, då han får den lyckan engång emot taga Eder lyckel[igen] hemkomen.

Apothekaren Ziervogel med hans fru äro döda. D[octor] Wallerius är gift, läs intet annat än prober konsten.

Prof[essor] Spöring sade sig ifrån förslagit i Lund, och Lundberg dog ifrån det. Winbom står på förslagit till westergiötlands Biskops döme. och Jacob Benzelius lärer blifwa Archiepiscopus effter sin Bror.

friend of Linnaeus. Correspondent of

for a whole year, and he has not heard anything from Bäck. However, he has to tell Bäck what is happening.

The position in Lund is not yet decided. Johan Stensson RothmanRothman, Johan Stensson

botanist. Studied at Harderwijk and
Leiden under Boerhaave. Influenced by
Sébastien Vaillant, whose theory
on plant sexuality he introduced to his
pupil, Linnaeus, while he was lecturer
at Växjö gymnasium.

Linnaeus wonders when Bäck will return. He longs to see him, and he hopes to see many specimens of dried plants.
