Ternström är Civis Academicus, och skall disputera ofördröjeligen.

Får jag så mycken tid skall jag sätta upp instructionen.

Gud gifwe jag fingo thermometren till des jag skall disputera om trädgården at jag där äffter fingo calculera. blifwer punctum congelationis 0? och där ifrån up och ned nummer at man kan determinera huru många grader kiöld äl[le]r warma?

Det wore vähl för stackars Ternström om han fick et stipendium regium; jag tror det går nu om Academien skrifwer.

jag skall skicka både min och hans Excellences observation om citronen så snart jag hinner.

Tack för sista pacquetet af frön; M[in] Bror är flinkare än alla andra. A propos hälsa H[err] Salander ock hans förnuftiga fru ifrån Linnaeus som dem begge högt estimerar.

Linnaeus, he was accepted as chaplain by
the Swedish East India Company. In 1746
he departed for China but died on the
island of Pulo Candor, Vietnam.

should defend his thesis soonest.

Linnaeus will, if he can find time, draft instructions for this occasion.

Linnaeus needs a thermometer before lecturing about the botanical garden. Will the freezing point be set at 0, with division in degrees up and down for warmth and cold?

Linnaeus hopes that Ternström shall be awarded a Royal scholarship.
