Effter jag ej får lof tala med H[err] Presidenten, så håller jag secreteren god nog; god dag.

i går Biskopwigdes Prof[essor] Beronius helt ceremonielt, alt war lapperij, men där äffter kom ej[a][a] : MS1 [presumably miswriting for

artigt nacht spehl, som roade oss ifrån 12 till 6 uti Bisk[op] Beronii hus; war ibland Eder Syster holt på intrigiera med mig om stipendier, at jag inter pocula så när blefwit förryckt.

Philosophi hade satt fram et quaestio Magisterialis: näml[igen] om icke det woro bättre at wåre Swänske intet skrefwo än at de skrefwo; affirmat: Men de knäflarne hafwa nu ombytt quaestionen för Magist[er] Klingenberg, och tagit en hehl annan quaestion i moralen; säg wår Praesident att de ändrat sig.

Men får jag intet quartalet som war sist, och af hwilket ett är för min rächning?

När will Eder Mechanist hafwa sina pgr för thermometren?

i dag hade jag bref från Taernström i Cadix af d[en] 10 martii, han mår wähl, Botanicerar flitigt, och lärer nu wara mitt för Africa.

Må wähl, dock ej så wähl som Eder Praeses, jag undar Eder wähl mycket godt, doch honom långt mehr och alt i proportion; H[err] Liedbeck lofwar skicka med första tillfälle till academien sielfwa compositionerne förfärdigade.

Linnaeus has received a letter from Taernström [Christopher TärnströmTärnström, Christopher

botanist. At the recommendation of
Linnaeus, he was accepted as chaplain by
the Swedish East India Company. In 1746
he departed for China but died on the
island of Pulo Candor, Vietnam.
