. Linnaeus, who in his letters would jokingly call himself Hårleman’s son, has evidently written that after the marriage he will perhaps be degraded to stepson. Hårleman forcibly dismisses this suggestion and assures Linnaeus that his wife to be is most appreciative of his merits, so his position is unimpaired.
