Tack för brefwet och beswäret af alt, det wij fingo i dag. Min Lisa stina war alt för yfwig öfwer brefwet, men war onögdt at H[err] Magistren kallat henne Mademoiselle och ej fästmö.

Det war alt för wähl att pacquetet kom åht holland.

war så god wid tillfälle och stig till Engelske kiöpmannen H[err] Meister och upwisa denna sedel, tag emot örterna så snart de komma, och wid tillfälle öfwersändas de, då de emedlertid ej förgås.

Eder lansman som skall gå till Peters[borg] war hos mig i går och idag, sade s[ig] gå åht Finland, om jag hörde rätt, men skall nu till Petersburg. Det war alt för stor skada att jag der [om] ej wiste.

Profess[or] Historiarum H[err] Müller i Pe[ters]borg skref för 8 dagar att jag wi[lle] kiöpa up åht honom.

for a letter that had arrived the same day, [this letter has not come down to us] and for the trouble Lidbeck had had with what it contained.

] was glad at the letter but not satisfied that Lidbeck had addressed her as “Miss” and not as “Fiancée”.

Linnaeus is glad that the parcel bound for Holland had been sent. Linnaeus asks Lidbeck to see the English merchant Meister [William MastersMasters, William British.

] and show him this paper to obtain the plants as soon as they arrive. They should be sent on as soon as possible, so they are not destroyed.

Lidbeck’s countryman visited Linnaeus the day before and told that he would go to Finland. However, he will go to St Petersburg, and Linnaeus is sorry he did not know, because Gerhard Friedrich MüllerMüller, Gerhard Friedrich

Now, Linnaeus asks Lidbeck to obtain these books for Müller and to send them with his countryman. Lidbeck will be refunded and get a third of the sum as an extra, and Müller will show him all of St. Petersburg.
