Dated VI. Id. sextilis an. MDCCXLVIII. Sent from Stockholm (Sweden) to Uppsala (Sweden). Written in Latin.

upSUMMARY

Henning Adolph GyllenborgGyllenborg, Henning Adolph
(1713-1775). Swedish. Count,
councillor. Student at Uppsala and
member of the Royal Swedish Academy of
Sciences. Correspondent of Linnaeus.
sends Linnaeus a letter that recently reached him from Jean François SéguierSéguier, Jean François
(1703-1784). French. Antiquarian
and botanist, Nimes. Correspondent of
Linnaeus.
. It will also be a pleasure for Gyllenborg to forward Linnaeus’s answer to him. As far as Gyllenborg can judge from Séguier’s letter, he is a man of great humanity and erudition. Gyllenborg would very much like to know from Linnaeus, if Séguier is preparing a collection in the field of metallurgy. If Linnaeus should have in mind to go to Stockholm, Gyllenborgs asks of him to grant him a little while, so he may discuss with Linnaeus. Gyllenborg’s country house is called Odenslund and is situated between Märsta and Rotebro.

Gyllenborg assures Linnaeus of his devotions.
