to tell him that the Swedish Parliament [Sveriges Riksdag] has asked him to make a journey to Skåne in the same way he has done for Gotland, Öland and Västergötland in order to describe the nature and the people in the province.

Linnaeus says that he intends to depart as soon as he has received the grant covering his expenses.

He writes that he also plans to visit Museum Regium [Linnaeus refers to the Royal “Kunstkammer” or Cabinet of Curiosities] and the Royal Garden in Copenhagen and hopes that he might be able to bring some plants back to Uppsala.

He kindly asks Tessin to inform him about the grant.
