Cataloguen på fröen beder jag få något längre behållas; och afskrifwas. Gud gifwe wij fingo fröen i tida.

hwad war det för en fogel, som jag fick? men han är helt söndrig, och stjerten borta!

Det kommo alt för illa till pass om Obs[ervator] Hiorter skulle dö; man saknade honom först då man honom mistat.

Gud nåde mig för den Archipedanten Kydenius som så får insätta i H[err] Salvii weckoblad; alla menniskior som kienna honom le och peka fingret åt sådant slargerie.

However, Linnaeus wants to keep Kalm’s catalogue of seeds. He hopes they will get them in time [of sowing]

should pass away, it would mean a great loss to astronomy, but only then would his importance be recognized.
