He is not “malicious” in his comments on the bird [Linnaeus to the Academy of Sciences, 5 May 1750Letter L1123].

The lumpfish is well-known; it is called Lumpus anglorum and is the most common fish in Malmö. The Swedish name is “sjuryggsfisk. In the west of Sweden it is called “kvabbsugga”.
