Jag hoppas M[in] H[er]re hafwer rigtig bekommet den Herbaria som Jag hadde den äran M[in] H[er]re till åt sende recomenderade till H[e]r[re]nn Jennings & Finlay, ock ty Jag hafver intet på en längre tid hafwet den äran till åt få några utaf M[in] H[er]res Angenemaste bref. Jag begäras M[in] H[er]re wille wara så gunstig och senda mig till, wid slut af nästkomande månad den säd som Jag hafwer på inslutne sädel upsat, af så många af dem som M[in] H[er]re mig Kan låta fölge, så kan Jag dem bruka nästkomede Åhr.

M[in] H[er]re bähager till at recommendera dem till föremälde h[erra]rne Jennings & Finlay. Jag skulle wara M[in] H[er]re miuke obligerat för dess beswär, och begärar M[in] H[er]re will wara så gunstig ock sende mig någre andere utlandske säd som må finnes hos M[in] H[er]re.

works, merchant and politician in
Sweden. Conducted the trading-company

Robert Finlay. Father of John
Jennings.

Irish. Merchant. Conducted the
trading-company Finlay & Jennings in
Stockhom together with John Jennings.
. For a long time Demidov has received nothing from Linnaeus. He asks Linnaeus to send him at the end of next month the seeds that he has asked for in the enclosed note, as many as possible, so that Demidov can make use of them next year.

The seeds should be sent through Jennings & Finlay. Demidov is grateful to Linnaeus for the trouble he causes, but would also like to have some foreign seeds, which might be in Linnaeusís possession.
