Dated le 31 janr/ 11 fevr. Sent from Stockholm (Sweden) to Uppsala (Sweden). Written in French.

upSUMMARY

Louis Cardevac de HavrincourHavrincour, Louis Cardevac de
(1707-1767). French. Diplomat in
Stockholm 1749-1762. Correspondent of
Linnaeus.
has been ordered by the [French] Court to obtain a copy of a work with the title Caroli Linaei plantarum genera, Nova edition [Havrincour means Nova plantarum genera, quae [...] praesidie [...] Carolo LinnaeoLinnaeus, Carl Nova plantarum
genera, quae [...] praesidie [...]
Carolo Linnaeo
, diss., resp. C. M.
Dassow (Uppsala, 1747). Soulsby no.
1469.
]. Havrincour has tried to find the work, which should have been published during the last year, but he has not found it anywhere. Havrincour asks Linnaeus to supply him with a copy and to tell him the price, which he will pay immediately.

Since Havrincour has understood that Linnaeus does not speak French, he suggests that Linnaeus writes his answer in Latin, if he prefers.

Havrincour gives Linnaeus his full title and address on the back of the page.
