Dated . Sent from () to (). Written in Swedish.

On the third day [presumably Christmas Eve], Linnaeus intends to go to Falun.

Working at Bäck’s herbarium in the evening does not bother Linnaeus, but he is ashamed to cause Bäck trouble by having him as a guest. On the other hand, if Linnaeus works at Bäck’s herbarium and stays elsewhere, it will mean inconveniences to Bäck anyhow.

Linnaeus asks Bäck to tell Lars SalviusSalvius, Lars (1706-1773).

Correspondent of Linnaeus.

letter, for Linnaeus had heard from Löfling that the letter must not be published. The Spaniards do not allow their country to be praised. They are a strange people. Löfling was satisfied before to have it printed, but now he forbids it.
