[this letter has not come down to us] as Lidbeck had asked him. It was good that Carl SchulténSchultén, Carl Swedish.

went to Stockholm, for he has friends and was persistent.

Linnaeus might be able to go to Stockholm before the end of the month and see Lidbeck there. That would please Linnaeus very much.

Linnaeus is sorry that he and his family had left Uppsala without knowing about Lidbeck’s arrival.

P.S. Linnaeus tells Lidbeck that he will stay in Falun until the next mail has arrived, i.e. for another week, and that he will start his journey back to Uppsala after that.
