Franc has learnt much from his friendship with Linnaeus, which has given him some reputation as a man acquainted with the sciences.

In this letter, he suggests that Linnaeus should put his various duties aside and go to Stockholm, where Linnaeus would give pleasure to several of his friends by taking part in a party organized by Franc, where they would mix jokes with serious matters, as by chance. The other guests would be a group of persons who had formed friendships with Linnaeus during his work at Drottningholm: Keder, Pehr AdlerheimAdlerheim, Pehr (1712-1789).

. The party could go on for the whole night and be very agreeable.

Franc hopes that Linnaeus will not reject this chance of retaining the memory of his friends from Drottningholm.
