Dated 8 Febr. 1753. Sent from Uppsala (Sweden) to (). Written in Swedish.

upSUMMARY

Among the plants sent by T. in such large quantities from the Lapp mountains and to Pehr LöflingLöfling, Pehr (1729-1756).
Swedish. Botanist and explorer. Studied
under Linnaeus. Went to Spain in 1751
and took part in the Spanish expedition
to Venezuela in 1754, where he died.
Correspondent of Linnaeus.
, those that he donated to Linnaeus were those that were more than welcome and for which Linnaeus thanks Hollsten most gratefully. They included a rare Saxifraga that Linnaeus had not found in Lappland, and also a Chamae orchis Alpina, folio gramineo that has never been seen previously other than in the Alps of Switzerland. This will be mentioned in the new edition of Flora. Linnaeus begs Hollsten to continue to send mountain plants among those that T. has not collected, perhaps Hollstenís sharp eyes will find some that have not yet been described.
