should have got the position, and Bäck was quite right in trying to help him. Linnaeus does not think that von Rosenstein really wanted to help Wahlbom, although he had often promised to do so. Linnaeus has bad experience of von Rosenstein’s promises in other cases of appointments and decisions. Anyhow, Linnaeus thinks the result will show if it turned out right.

Helleborus niger is flowering, and it should be taken after Midsummer when its flower has passed. However, the real medical Helleborus niger is another variety, distinct from this one, as is evident from Joseph Pitton de Tournefort’s Tournefort de, Joseph Pitton
(1656-1708). French. Botanist and
explorer, professor of botany at Paris.
