sends Linnaeus a list of the prices in gulden charged for trees in Holland:

Fruit trees (pears, cherries, apples, plums, peaches, apricots and grapes) are specified for plants 2_ feet high.

Pears, cherries, apples and plums can also be bought fully grown, i.e. five feet high. Their prices are given.

Trees for avenues can be obtained ten feet high and nine inches around the stem at the bottom. The species mentioned are lime, estorn, elm and plane-tree. Their prices are given.
