A year has passed since Job BasterBaster, Job (1711-1775).

Leiden. Correspondent of Linnaeus.
sent his answer [this letter has not come down to us] to Linnaeusís letter of 11 February 1752 [this letter has not come down to us] together with some seeds from India. Baster is still waiting to hear from Linnaeus that the letter had reached him in good order. In the same letter, Baster wanted advice on how he could send live plants to Linnaeus, and also to hear if Linnaeus could send him some plants from the North. Now, he sends some more seeds, which he hopes will please Linnaeus. Baster asks if Linnaeusís work Species plantarumLinnaeus, Carl Species
plantarum

is finished, for he has only seen parts of it, and also where he can buy copies of Linnaeusís works in Holland.

Baster is very anxious to have an answer from Linnaeus.
