Correspondent of Linnaeus.
thanks Linnaeus for his two latest letters [these letters have not come down to us]. Jennings is happy to report that Linnaeusís cause [cultivation of pearls] was successful in the Parliament [the Swedish Riksdag] and was passed in all the four Estates. He will send a copy of the resolution. The Göteborg merchant Peter Samuel BaggeBagge, Peter Samuel
(1710-1779). Swedish. Merchant,
Gothenburg. Member of the Swedish
parliament (Riksdag). Supported the hat
party.
has deposited a sum of 6000 riksdaler with Jennings to be at Linnaeusís disposal.

Bagge will probably visit Linnaeus on his return-journey, and so will Jennings on his way back to Forsmark.
