Bought Linnaeus’s “little herbarium”,
now in the Natural History Museum in
Stockholm. Son of Jonas Alströmer,
brother of August, Johan and Patrick
Alströmer. Correspondent of
Linnaeus thanks Linnaeus for his letter about where the moss could be obtained [this letter, which is a reply to Alströmer’s letter of the 15th April 1765Letter L3577, has not come down to us]. However, Alströmer knows nothing about the use of the moss. Nor does he know if it is the Reindeer lichen that is the best, something that Alströmer should like to know.

(1729-1797). Swedish. Physician at
Alingsås. Correspondent of
Linnaeus. list of the shells Alströmer had already sent Linnaeus [Alströmer to Linnaeus, 11 April 1765Letter L3578], and it also contains some comments about the shells. Alströmer wants to have the list back when Linnaeus has finished his work.
