who thanks Linnaeus, reflecting that, as, in these times he will not have friendship from people who used to be his friends, he is more inclined to respect those who are honest and stable [this inclines the loss of political support]. He is therefore grateful to Linnaeus for his continuos friendship.

Höpken regrets that he is no longer able to be of service to Linnaeus.
