Linnaeus writes to Carl Magnus BlomBlom, Carl Magnus (1737-1815).
Swedish. Studied in Uppsala under
Linnaeus 1755-1763. Provincial physician
in Dalecarlia. Correspondent of
Linnaeus.
to thank him for the information about Spongia [see Blom to Linnaeus, 19 June 1766Letter L3762] and says that everyone is curious to know what kind of animal semina lentifolia is going to be.

Linnaeus writes that the light grey worms seems to look like his Lumbricus paulustris that is a new species and that he also likes to see the worms in the membranes.

Linnaeus writes that from Blomís description the worms might be a Dentialium, but Linnaeus has to look at them himself.

Linnaeus writes that Blom has described is an ova cochlea and not a Fasciola hepatica and he explains the appearance of the molluse egg.

Linnaeus advises Blom not to publish these findings until they are fully investigated.
