that he finds the observations of the treatment of cancer with toads interesting, and that he has heard about it before.

He writes that during his childhood treatment of rash with toads was quite common.

Since it is known, Linnaeus writes, that both carcasses and Solanum verbuscum are used as to cure the nail disease Paronychia, toads should, if anything, be of advantage when it comes to cancer.

Linnaeus writes about different theories he has heard about how toads attach themselves to human bodies and suck them.

Linnaeus encourages af Bjerkén to try the treatment at the hospital on some very sick cancer patients who are dying anyway.
