Linnaeus is in great debt to Murray who pays respect to Linnaeus and his attempts [in science] in his own writings.

Linnaeus asks Murray to send him seeds from Murray’s garden [Göttingen Botanical Garden] that he thinks might be missing from Linnaeus’s garden [Uppsala University Botanical Garden], and which might cheer him up now that he is ageing.

Linnaeus congratulates Murray on his appointment as head of the Göttingen Botanical Garden with its god climate, and writes that he is happy to see his friends in different important positions all over Europe.

Linnaeus also asks Murray to find out why Heinrich Johann Nepomuk von CrantzCrantz, Heinrich Johann Nepomuk von

and physician. Professor in obstetrics
