death. Linnaeus is sure that many Swedes will be sorry, but he is himself more so than most, since he owes so much to Tessin. Linnaeus feels more sorrow for Tessinís death than for the deaths of his father [Nils Ingemarsson LinnaeusLinnaeus, Nils Ingemarsson

Linnaeus knows that he has always felt sorry when he had heard slander against Tessin, and he had always defended Tessin, often with danger for himself. He wonders when there will be somebody like Tessin again.

Linnaeus congratulates Sparre for having inherited Tessinís diary, a real source of wisdom [Linnaeus refers to Tessinís diary in 29 volumes, of which some extracts only have been published: Tessin och TessinianaTessin, Carl Gustaf & Fredrik

It would give him much to add to his understanding of Godís plan, de Politia Divina, on which Linnaeus has brought together a large collection [of examples].
