Dated 28 Octobris 1770. Sent from Wien (Austria) to (). Written in Latin.

upSUMMARY

The letter is written on the back of a picture of Crataegus punctata.

Jacquin had written to Linnaeus on June 9 1770 (this letter has not come down to us) and had received an answer (9 July 1770Letter L4389). Then, he wrote again on about June 24 (this letter has not come down to us), and with the last letter he had enclosed seeds and dried specimens, among them a Cichorius pumilus and a picture of Crataegus. No answer had come, so he sends the picture of Crataegus once more, and encloses a specimen of Trifolium pannonicum and two more pictures, the names of which he is not sure.

Jacquin corrects himself on one species, Mesembryanthemum, treated in a previous letter.
