believes Linnaeus to have received the plant, seeds and description that he sent on 16 February [1771][this letter has not come down to us]. Capdevila has inscribed his Spanish translation of Linnaeus’s Philosophia botanicaLinnaeus, Carl Philosophia
botanica, in qua explicantur fundamenta
botanica cum definitionibus partium,
etc.
