Tack för notificationen af Tripolitanske Ministrens tillbud. Det woro wist artigt att wetta, hwad som framalstras i Fiällen Atlas.

äller kanske lofwen glömmes, så snart man kommit ifrån Sverige

Det är nog för en swänsk att hatas som otrogen hund.

Mus miser est antro, qui non gaudet pluribus uno.

Doctor Rothman woro qwick, men beklagar har ej lagt sig på Hist[oria] natur[alis]; skickas en som ej har affection för wettenskapen blifwer aldeles resan onyttig.

Lindwall will hafwa stipulerad rese-summa samt därjemte determinerad pension årligen sedan han hemkommit, men han wet ej i hwad seculo han lefwer.

En annor har anmält sig, men jag bör först wetta, om hantilltagit på 4 åhr, äller aftagit.

He wishes to be informed about progress regarding the Atlas mountains.

He comments on possibilities to find a candidate to be sent someone on a journey there. Who can you trust? If the old man [the envoy from Tripoli?] dies, or the promises given are forgotten as soon as you have left Sweden?

has requested a specific travel stipend plus an annual pension upon his return.

Another candidate is interested but Linnaeus wishes to know what he has achieved during the last four years.

Linnaeus is sick and at bed suffering from ischias pains.
