Linnaeus writes that he has received Mennanderís letter of April 8th [this letter has not come down to us] and that he will do his utmost to meet with Mennanderís request. If EnanderEnander, Swedish. would visit Linnaeus, there would be some hope of gaining votes for Mennander, although he is quite unknown among the colleagues at the university.
