Wördsamt Memorial

På Academiae gården fattas några Lindar; för 14 dagar sedan har jag dem genom bref begiärt af Trägårdsmäst[are] Gollnitz, men där på fått intet swar.

Nu som wåren skyndar torde wara nödigt att låta dem afhämtas ifrån någon trägård i Stockholm, med någon som här ifrån för den ändan ditsändes, hälst som man i sommar förmodar att åtskilliga ministrar lära komma att bese academien.

Äfwen wore nödigt att få sand till academiae gården och trägården, så snart bönderne giort ifrån sig sitt åckerbruk.

Detta täckes Eder Magnificence med Herrar Inspectores aerarii öfwerwäga och befalla.

about the lime-trees missing from the academic courtyard. Two weeks ago Linnaeus wrote requesting them from the gardener, Johan Hindric GollnitzGollnitz, Johan Henrik
Swedish. Gardener, owner of a nursery in
Stockholm.
[this letter has not come down to us], but he has not heard anything from him.

As Spring approaches, the lime-trees must probably be acquired from Stockholm. Somebody should therefore be instructed to go to the capital to collect them and deliver them to Uppsala. The matter is urgent as several ministers will visit the Uppsala universityUppsala University, Swedish.
Uppsala University was founded in 1477.

It is also necessary to get sand for the courtyard. Farmers should be contracted for this work as soon as they have finished their spring field-work.

Linnaeus assumes that Solander, together with the treasurers will see to it that these instructions are carried out.
