upSUMMARY

Linnaeus describes for the King and CouncilThe King and Council,
Swedish. Kungl. Maj:t.
that certain quantities of alcohol is needed for the preservation of natural-history specimens. The distillation of spirits has now been prohibited, which method previously provided spirits at a reasonable cost; pharmacies do not sell the stronger type which is needed. Permission to produce, under due official control, the necessary amount is therefore requested.
